Nepal has climbed seven positions up to 163rd in the FIFA World Ranking for the month of September.
According to the latest FIFA World Ranking published on Thursday, Nepal is at the fourth spot among the South Asian nations.

Nepal defeated India and Bangladesh in the recently concluded SAFF Championship.
"The ranking has gone up because of Nepal's performance in the SAFF Championship," says Lalit Krishna Shrestha, spokesperson of All Nepal Football Association and manager of the country's national team.
SAFF Championship title claimer Afghanistan has topped the chart with the ranking 132nd in the World Ranking, followed by Maldives 152nd, India 155th, Nepal 163rd, Bangladesh 166th, Sri Lanka 168th, Pakistan 170th and Bhutan 207th.
"These rankings keep changing. ANFA is trying to focus on improving the quality of domestic football," Shrestha added.
Meanwhile, Spain, Argentina and Germany are at the top three positions respectively in the FIFA World Ranking. nepalnews.com
